About Dr. Carlos J. Gonzalez Quesada
Dr. Quesada is a board-certified internal medicine physician and cardiologist with advanced training in interventional and structural cardiology. He has trained at some of the nation’s most prestigious institutions, including Harvard Medical School, Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, and the Mayo Clinic, and holds a Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health with additional training in global health.
He completed his residency in internal medicine and global health equity at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women’s Hospital, followed by a cardiology fellowship at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. He then pursued subspecialty training in interventional cardiology and structural cardiology at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Quesada is a staff cardiologist at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he maintains admitting privileges and continues to provide care as part of the Cedars medical staff. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

His work spans from biomarker discovery to the application of artificial intelligence in cardiovascular imaging. He recently co-authored a 2024 study evaluating
artificial-intelligence-guided quantitative coronary CT angiography and its accuracy in predicting decreased blood flow to the heart muscle.In addition to his academic publications, Dr. Quesada is the chief editor of EXARMED, a widely used general medicine reference book for the training of doctors across Latin America.
