Dr. Ivor Geft Bio

Dr. Geft obtained his medical degree from the University of Cape Town, Cape Town, South Africa and completed a residency in internal medicine at Chaim Sheba Medical Center, Tel Aviv, Israel. He has served as a Senior House Officer in pathology at Royal Marsden Hospital and received advanced training in internal medicine at Hammersmith Hospital and Northwick Park Hospital, all in London, United Kingdom. He is a member of the Royal College of Physicians.
Dr. Geft completed a fellowship in Cardiology at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel. He served as a Specialist Physician in The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and as a Senior Cardiologist and Director of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit, Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.
In 1980, Dr. Geft relocated to The United States and joined Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, working initially in clinical and experimental aspects of cardiology for two years and thereafter as an Medical Associate. Since 1982 he has served as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen UCLA School of Medicine in Los Angeles. He has been in private practice in Los Angeles specializing in cardiology since 1983.
