Dr. Setareh Bio

Sam Setareh, MD, MS is a Cardiologist with subspecialties in Sports Cardiology, Preventive Cardiology, and Cardiac Imaging. Dr. Saman Setareh Shenas obtained his undergraduate degree from UCLA with Honors, and continued his education at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, earning a MS degree in Global Medicine and MD degree from Sackler School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine training at the prestigious Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Subsequently, he completed his cardiology training at the world-renowned Mount Sinai Heart, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside. Dr. Setareh treats the whole spectrum of cardiovascular conditions including atherosclerosis, cardiomyopathy, hypertension, arrhythmias, valvular disease, and coronary artery disease among many. He has treated and taken care of people from all walks of life including, the most vulnerable to the head-of-states, dignitaries, athletes, celebrities, and physician colleagues. He is actively involved in clinical research, focused on cardiovascular disease prevention and performance, heart failure, valvular disease; and has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and multiple cardiology textbook chapters. Dr. Setareh is an internationally invited speaker for several cardiovascular societies, including American Heart Association (AHA) in New Orleans, Minneapolis, Chicago, Los Angeles; American College of Cardiology (ACC) in Orlando and Chicago; and European Society of Cardiology (ESC) in Barcelona, Spain. He serves as a member of multiple committees on the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He has served as the Executive Member of the Medical Board of the hospital center for 2 terms. He also serves as a founding member of the editorial board of The Journal of Scientific Innovation in Medicine.
